Photocopy of a letter dated Jauary 20, 1929, from Fresno, CA, to Zena. Also includes a photocopy of a photograph with the following typed caption (copied from a book?): "Andrew Walmsley and his son Zenas pose for a photograph around 1885. For 155 years, five generations of Walmsleys have been respected, prominent Dayton citizens. Andrew's father, James, moved here in 1859. Andrew, Zenas, his son Ray, and Ray's wife, May, also raised their families in Dayton. Zenas served as Dayton's justice of the peace. Ray, 87, considered Dayton's patriarch, passed on in 2014. May and her daughter Geri carry on the Walmsley ancestry in Dayton. (Historical Society of Dayton Valley)." |
