Summary |
Brochure, one sheet of paper, four pages/sides, for the Red Lodge Rod and Gun Club. "Exclusive hunting club with limited membership". Per the brochure, there is hunting and fishing, located 3 1/2 miles southeast of Dayton. The brochure advertises the varied hunting and fishing opportunities, and a hunting lodge was available. If interested, contact Gene Minor of Dayton. The brochure includes six black and white photos, including a photo of Gene Minor holding a rifle and looking towards the Sutro ranch and Carson River, on the front cover. Other photos include Minor holding a goose, his son Steven fishing, the pheasant pen, the river, and the lodge. The Red Lodge was Nevada's first licensed pheasant preserve. The birds were raised from eggs collected by Del and the children, incubated in a special building near their home, and raised until adulthood for hunting. Delphine packaged the pheasants for hunters to take home. She also prepared meals for lodgers and hunters. |
